One of the points they made clear in a video each of them released on social media on Wednesday was that Deadpool 3 will not change the events of Logan, the grim, Oscar-nominated 2017 movie in which Logan, nicknamed Wolverine, died. “Logan takes place in 2029, totally separate thing,” Reynolds, 45, said. “Logan died in Logan. Not touching that.”
Along with the little video, Reynolds tweeted, “Hard keeping my mouth stitched shut about this one.” (The phrase “mouth sewn shut” alludes to a scene in the 2009 movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine where Ryan Reynolds appears as Deadpool with a mouthpiece.)
Reynolds then turns to Jackman, who is ambling around the background, and admits, “We did have one idea (to make the film special).”

Marvel fans have a lot of questions about Hugh Jackman’s comeback as Wolverine in “Deadpool 3,” prominent among them being: How is Wolverine alive after being killed off in “Logan”?
